Creation Stories
Two creation stories Aphrodite Urania, or Celestial Aphrodite

The Urania birth story associates Aphrodite with the creation of the world and establishes her as one of the oldest divinities. As Aphrodite was born from the act that separated Heaven and Earth the world in between, she is present from the very beginning of time.

The second story of Aphrodite's birth paints her as one of the younger divinities, and is more closely connected with her later reputation as a minor goddess. In Homer's Iliad Aphrodite was born from the union of Zeus with the Titan goddess Dione. This incarnation is referred to as Aphrodite Pandemos, or Common Aphrodite. Aphrodite Pandemos is the baser of the two , and is associated with physical satisfaction.

Physical Appearance
perfectly proportioned, and possesses no physical flaws whatsoever. By the standards of the Western civilization on Earth, she is the epitome of female beauty and one of the most aesthetically perfect female beings in existence.

It has also been suggested that Aphrodite automatically appears as any mortal man’s “ideal woman” when she appears to them so at times her appearance tends to vary by the individual viewing her.

Peitho, the goddess of seduction, and the three Charites, goddesses of grace and beauty. Most famous one is Eros, Aphrodite's son, who she commands to shoot people with his love-arrows. Also, her lover Ares the god of war.
Athena, Artemis, and Hestia the three goddesses who vowed to remain maidens forever were in a way the enemies of Aphrodite because she did not agree with them since she was the goddess of love.

Role in Trojan War
In Homer's Iliad she is the one who makes Ares fight for the Trojans in the Trojan War.

Signicant story
The story about Aphrodite concerned her affair with Anchises. Zeus decided to give Aphrodite some of her own medicine. Aphrodite was fond of causing the gods to fall in love. This time Zeus caused Aphrodite to fall in love with a mortal named Anchises. In one version of the story, she appeared to Anchises as a beautiful mortal. Together they a son name Aeneas (Aeneas descendants became the founders of Rome) Aphrodite revealed her diety to Anchises, and he was very dismayed. In another version of the story, Aphrodite came to him in her goddess form, but he refused her. He feared the union of a mortal and immortal because it usually turned out badly for the mortal. She later disguised herself and revealed her deception to Anchise only after becoming pregnant. Zeus was said to either have killed Anchises or crippled him with a thunderbolt in punishment for revealing the secret of his affair with Aphrodite to other mortals.
